Planning Blog

 Props:

For my commercial since I chose to do a pair of NIKE sustainable materials shoes, my primary prop is those pair of shoes. Other props include a shoe box.

Costumes:

In my commercial I will wear fashionable athletic wear like a rain jacket and tights with a NIKE brand pair of socks wearing the shoes. I will wear vibrant colors and I will probably have my hair out of my face in a ponytail as most athletes wear their hair. I will also be wearing a T-shirt that says a slogan about being  ethically aware about the environment.

Schedule:

September 28: I am going to create my storyboard for the commercial and give a very detailed explanation on each square.

September 30: I am going to film the first half of my commercial which will be about 15 seconds of film when editing is done.

October 4: I am going to finish what I started filming and complete a whole 30 second commercial with all the necessary shots and camera movements.

October 6: I will be editing The commercial to make all the shots seem simultaneous and clean.

October 8: I will continue to edit, adding sounds and graphics which will be the final touches to my commercial. Once it is complete I will submit my work.

Location:

My primary location will be the track field you emphasize that it’s an athletic brand. As well to emphasize the shoes are not only for style and comfort but also to be active. This is where I would walk and run and leap for my commercial.

My second location is going to be in the patch of grass in front of the track field. There is where I am going to show a close-up shot of the shoes in their box and possibly take a pan shot of the shoes.

Back-up Plan:

If the weather does not choose to cooperate with my filming schedule I will take my filming on school campus. Behind the stairwell to the media center near the bathrooms there is a patch of grass and pavement that can be used for my ideas. I will also try to make the most of my time and film the important sections first.
