Editing My Music Video

To begin editing I organized all the shots in order. Then had to ensure that all the shots were the right length and included some filming speed changes so that they may correspond with the lyrics. Then added a text overlay on the first and last scene. The text on the first scene included the name of the song. The text o the second one included the name of the artist who created it. All of this editing was done on a MacBook using the Adobe Premiere Pro application. I used Premiere Pro this time to edit because it has many more options to edit, especially for text. The text could have effects applied to it and more option for suiting fonts to fit the feeling of the video. When all the shots were in, the total gave me too many seconds so, I had to cut down some scene. I also cropped multiple videos. I specially cropped second scene which is close-up. I had to cut some of the shots because they had some random things in the background that were not props. For example, I had a someone's shoes in the back and some shadows. I added a camera film filter on top of the whole video because that was one of the conventions in children pop video. One thing was that I have not yet filmed one scene which really does not allow me to completely view to fully product to se if I can improve anything. The good thing was that I can truly focus on the other scenes to be good and I will not have to focus too much on the other scenes editing. I had to slow down the scene because I had multiple takes for the scene and none of them had enough time. However, when I slowed it down it did not look choppy how I feared it would. It gives a nice slow motion effect. I had to view it a numerous amount of times to make sure it does not look choppy. I still have to fix some shots still. Overall I made a good amount of progress and believe I can complete it with one more day of editing.
