Our Pitch

Pitch A: A girl experiences the five stages of friendship which are suddenly torn when they once again become strangers. 

• We produced this pitch because we felt it was relatable. Being a group of friends, naturally, our first thought was to make a film about friends. The 5 stages add depth, and we were thinking of adding an aspect of internal conflict to the film. This is usually an integral thing for movies. Though it was our first pitch idea it is not our preferred choice. This idea, when compared to the others, seems a little bland and slow-moving.

   Pitch B: A stalker plans to abduct a girl who then realizes she's being followed which leads to the roles being reversed. 

• We created this pitch because it sounded realistic, many people do face that reality, so we thought portraying that impressive and awakening. This pitch is creative, unpacks a prominent issue, and sounds doable. Moreover, because this pitch is more complex than the others, there would be more content to include within those five minutes than with the other pitches

 

Pitch C: A group of friends get into a car crash, then believe to have woken up from a coma to find no living soul. 

• We would be interested in making this film because we find the storyline alluring and entertaining. Even though this pitch sounds enticing it sounds dramatic and generic. Although we have the structure ready, we are still figuring out the specifics and details of the story. Honestly, though, it may be difficult to portray all of us as main characters in the film, which is one of our priorities.

     Overall, we decided to go with the "Pitch B", because it seemed like the most alluring and unique option. All of us believe that it would be the most amusing to watch and record, which will produce a captivating plot for the audience. For now, we have a minor plan for this film that we feel could grow into a stunning outcome. We must go to a multitude of locations as this will make the 5-minutes even more diverse and distinctive. To sum it up, we chose this pitch because all of us feel the most comfortable with this pitch and have a strong notion that this pitch will provide us with a high-quality product.  

Group Blog

For this Final Task project, I am working with a group of my friends who I got to help last year with filming their project. When we all realized we ended up in the same class period we automatically knew we are going to do this project together. I do feel somewhat not fully included because they were all in a group together last year with my twin and are very close. Yet, they always make an effort to be sweet to me. I am in group chat with them and we socialize very frequently with each other. This given to the fact that we have many classes together and they are my sister's best friends. I like that we all have different point of views on matters and each one of the help me see things from a diffrent angle. Whenever I am hungry in class they was are there to help me and find me something to eat which reassured me that I choose the right group. They are aware of what needs to be done and are considerate. I am working with Lili Amblard, Aleiah Luster, and Angie Mendez. I am most hopeful and positive that with this group I am going to get good outcomes and a hard-working set of individuals that will help me in this final task project. I am aware that every group has its troubles but I’m willing to look past the negatives (like lack of communication by one person) to completely trust that my group will work great together. To work with a group is something I’m not totally comfortable with yet, therefore there could be some challenges. I already have a concept of how I want the project to look, and I sincerly don't desire to undertake anything that modifies that. I am conscious, nevertheless, that I must be open to and take into account the opinions of every member of my group. For the sake of our relationship, friendship, and general humility, I am ready to change my mind and do that. Since we all hold equal value and deserve to be heard, I do not believe it is right to disparage another person's viewpoint. I want to atmosphere of our friendship and bond to be inclusive with open communication of our emotions and thoughts. I believe that a lack of communication leads to corruption of the most important relationships and it an easy problem to fix. I am aware that I need to work on being more open to rejection of my ideas without getting spiteful. I conclude that I will work well in a group and focus less on the workload but more on enjoying myself. I am prepared to begin working with these new partners, I have a multitude of proposals to discuss with them.

 

Introductory Blog

     I am Hannah and I am back at it in A Level ready to continue this enlightening journey. I am genuinely excited to start. At the moment I am healing from a sprained knee so I am not so active as I normally am. To make up for the time I could not be active I have been reading and spending time with my younger sibling which I rarely have had time for. I typically practice mix martial arts, tennis, cycling, and running. For hobbies I code, paint, sketch, and own a baking blog. Recently I started tutoring freshman and sophomores in algebra two and chemistry 1 honors. I enjoy reading books for pleasure and being outside. I am currently interested in architecture and the study of our gut's microbiome health. As well as sustainability actions we can take to improve our Earth. Being highly productive and structured is essential for me because I am quickly overloaded by the countless things I undertake on a daily basis. I am also interested in civil engineering and computer-aided design and drafting. It gives me fulfillment to concentrate on things that will optimize both my future and self. My faith and family is a priority, that influences many decisions in my life.  Having knowledge about the media industry and it practices is important to me because it is something I find interesting and enjoy-full. The film and entertainment industry has always intrigued me which is why I decided to take AICE Media Studies. Technology is another thing I am interested in, especially when it is incorporated in the film industry. I am Adobe Photoshop certified and currently taking AP computer science principles. I have in-depth knowledge on how to do software design through Adobe Dreamweaver and utilize on the daily Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing. I have previously used my skills with editing my products in this class, I use Adobe Photoshop for lighting effects and Premiere Pro to video editing. All of these skills help me when I am in class and putting my filming skills to the test in my projects.
