Filming Blog: Sun Intrusion

Today I filmed all my scenes though I only have half of the content I needed and have to film another day. For me to film today I brought a backpack with me. It had my prop which was a shoebox, some extra clothing pieces, a NIKE visor, headphones, my mobile device that I used to film, and a folder with my script and storyboard. Today it was very hot when I went outside to film. I had a helper to help me film the angles I cannot do, like high angles. I also have a cast on so it made it a little more difficult but not too difficult that I couldn’t complete my to-do list today. It was overcast about to rain when I went outside to start. I got discouraged but then the sun came out and the greenery looked vibrant. I knew it was going to be a good time to film. Each scene took me at least two shots. However, it was difficult to review them because the sun was making the screen to my camera difficult to view and understand. I wanted to incorporate all the elements of nature like the sun, shadows, and vibrant colors of green into my film. I was allowed to do that with the weather today. When I was filming I went back-and-forth with my script and storyboard to make sure I got all my scenes. The clouds kept shifting and covering the sun so I had to work around the sun to get the right lighting. When I was filming a panoramic shot the shadows were prohibiting me from getting a clean shot. I have to try again the next time I film to do my best do you get a clean shot. Yet, I still managed to forgot to film some sections. By the time I finished I got inside and started to realize how much I sweated and reviewed all my shots. This way I noticed that I have to re-film some scenes and make sure that my camera is always tilted at landscape for the best for quality.
