Filming My Music Video

So far I filmed all my scenes except one. I only have to film for another day for one last scene. For me to film on my thanksgiving break during a trip I brought a backpack specifically just for things for my video. In that backpack I brought my costume, blankets, shoes, my storyboards, props, and my mobile device that I used to film. I woke up very early in the morning to try to film all of my scenes. Early in the morning was the perfect weather to film my video, it was not sunny nor too dark. To help me film myself I used my sister and told her what camera movements I wanted. I filmed in the backyard of the house, in my room, in the living room, in the pathway of front door, and the side wall of the outside of the house. Since I was on vacation I had to keep everyone from being in my takes for every scene. That made it very difficult to find the perfect shot. When I first began filming I had dropped my camera and the settings had changed to a better quality accidentally which allowed me to notice that my camera had better video taking settings. For one of the scenes my parents and I had to go to the nearest Starbucks to get at least an authentic coffee cup. Then, I came home and filled the empty cup with a little bit of an espresso shot, milk, water, and ice. Also, because all throughout the house that I filmed in there were windows I had to adjust the exposure on the camera not in the surroundings. This sometimes caused the lighting to be different throughout the video. For most of my scene there was some type of object of reflection so had to make sure that the camera was not seen in the shots. I had reshot multiple scenes because of the timing of the lyrics in the song. Each scene had to correspond to the correct lyrics. Before I shot my film I did a example or replica of my music video. I did that replica so that I could make sure that I included all the camera shots and movements that I needed to capture in my actual music video, in a way I used it as a reference. It really came in handy and that is how I am sure I captured everything in needed to.
